Options for Aging Eyes
The eyes are one of the first areas of the face to show the signs of aging, which can be anything from fine lines and wrinkles to more severe under-eye bags, hollows and crepe-y skin. We’ve addressed a couple of the aging-eye problems with our Latisse & Teamine Duo, but if you feel you might want to go a step further, there are additional options.
If you have dark circles and under-eye hollows then Juvederm, a dermal filler, may be a good option as it can be injected along the bone to plump up the area. Because Juvederm adds volume, the right amount can help camouflage depressions and dark under-eye circles.
If you have heavy bags and loose skin, a lower eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty should be considered. When the under eyes are accompanied by heavier bags and skin that has lost its elasticity, the only way to correct the problem is with surgery. During this surgery, fat is repositioned and excess skin is removed to give a tighter, more youthful look all around.
When your eyes look younger, you will, too. If you’d like to find out about any of these procedures or schedule your free consultation, call Katie, our patient care coordinator, at 706.543.0404 or email her at kgarmon@parkerplasticsurgery.com.
